Ben waited for driver to open the door before stepping out. He helped Haley out of the limo and lead her into the restaurant. He greeted the hostess and she told them to follow her to thier table.

"So have you ever been to a Cotillion before?" Haley asked as the two of them walked to their table. "I've never been to one so I really don't know what to expect."

"Except your typical Upper East Side event." Ben said, "Fancy dresses, dacing like old married couples, and lame music." He added as he pulled out her chair for her.

Haley sat down and sighed, "I was afraid you'd say that. Though, I guess if I was still in Georgia, I'd still be doing the same type thing with everyone that I grew up with."

"I guess it would be bittersweet because even though I'm with people I grew up with, my mom wouldn't be there." Haley said with a shrug.

Ben nodded. He remembered her telling him about how her mother had died. "Do you still talk to your friends from Georgia?"

Haley shrugged, "I try to keep in touch, but it's kind of hard. Do you keep in touch with any of your friends from high school?"

"Not really, you'e right it is kind of hard." He said and thanked the waitor for bringing the menu. "Especially with hockey and everything."

"Nate said he was going to teach me, but he never got around to it." Haley said with a shrug. "Then Chuck said that he was going to teach me but things got kind of crazy for him too."

Haley nodded, "Yeah. I used to take ice skating lessons when I was little before I got into cheerleading."

"Ok. That's a good place to start." He said, "My Mom stuck me into ice skating lessons when I first started skating. I was like six. It was kind of embarrassing because I was the only boy. But it was worth it."

Haley laughed, "But it led to something better for you which is always a plus. Uncle Howie got me into hockey. He took me to a Thrashers game for my sixth birthday."

Haley laughed and shook her head, "No, I think it was the fact that the game was exciting. Plus, watching the fights were a definite plus." She added.

"Yeah, fights do keep things interesting." He agreed. The waitress returned and asked if they were ready to order. Ben looked to Haley. "Do you know what you want?"

"Alright then, I'll have the lasagna." He told the waitress. "So, Krista said something to me about you guys going to Disney?"

Haley nodded, "Yeah. We're going for cheerleading nationals." She grinned, "I'm kind of excited. We're doing a routine to a mash up of Thriller and Disturbia complete with zombie makeup and the Thriller dance."
